ICAI Examiners Portal Breach Allegation Is Just a Rumour, Confirms TCS
Recently, a post went viral on social media platforms, where a threat actor named “zowico” claimed to have gained control over the entire Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) Examiners Portal at http://examiners.icaiexam.icai.org.
According to the attacker, he had obtained complete access to the following:
- Remote Code Execution (RCE) capabilities and super administrator access to the ICAI Portal
- More than 2 lakh records are available on the portal
- Full remote code execution and superadmin control of the portal
- Answer sheets of all students who appeared in May 2026
- Examiner profiles
- Marking schemes
The post claimed that the attacker has the ability to modify marks, and he is just doing all this for fun. Moreover, the data is not being offered for sale, and he is sharing the information publicly for demonstration purposes. A sample of answer sheets was also shared to prove that all the information disclosed by him is true.
As per the recent sources, the Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) has confirmed that the recent viral post on social media about the ICAI Examiners Portal breach is just a rumour. Chartered Accountant (CA) Rohit Ruwatia Agarwal, via a post on platform ‘X’, has stated, “Some rumour is afloat that data of CA Final exams have been compromised but there is no substance to it. Data are maintained by TCS and the same has been confirmed by TCS that no data compromised.”
