Appointment of Customs Officers for Adjudication of Certain Show Cause Notices

The Central Board of Indirect Taxes and Customs (CBIC) has appointed a particular customs officer to enquire into and adjudicate certain customs cases under the Customs Act, 1962, in exercise of its powers conferred thereunder.

For the cases mentioned in the table, the designated officer is authorized to carry out all the functions and exercise all the powers that are normally assigned to the competent officer.

This appointment is made specifically for adjudicating the show cause notices issued to the concerned noticees, including conducting hearings and passing orders in those cases.
